FOL, PLT and EOL
Front of Line (FOL) automation
The Front of Line solution allows for processing the entire parts spectrum without interrupting the production or loss of performance, even during the blank stack change. The blanks are destacked according to customer requirements, transported, cleaned, oiled and aligned to be ready for transfer to the first press by the loading feeder.
Universal Tooling
The Universal Tooling no longer requires part-specific tooling which, in turn, makes tooling changing stations and additional storage areas for different sets of FOL tooling no longer needed. This represents a genuine benefit for the customer. Especially the required alignment of the tooling arms to the contours of the blank according to pre-defined settings can be done exceptionally fast.
Press Line Automation
Boasting the output to up to 21 strokes per minute, the roboX system (roboX stands for roboFeeder, roboBeam, roboSpeed automation device) is perfectly suited for the automation of high-speed servo press lines and mechanical press lines. The high level of reliability that is typical for Güdel equipment and its highly dynamic and low-vibration movements make it stand out from the competition.
End of Line automation
The End of Line solution offers an excellent cost-benefit ratio. It allows for process-optimized and ergonomic placement of the finished parts on the output conveyor which facilitates processing the finished parts manually or automatically in a faster yet more controlled way.

Front of Line (FOL)

Blank destacking system

With manual fanner magnet positioning.

The Front of Line with manual fanner magnet positioning will feedblanks into high-speed tandem press lines. Swivel arms are easy to handle by simply moving the fanner magnets manually towards the stack of blanks and secure them in place. Optionally, by using built-in compressed air nozzles, aluminium blanks can also be processed without loss in performance. Thanks to its modular design, the Front of line can be used in a newly installed turn-key system or for retrofit or completion of an existing press line automation system.

BDS-A

Blank unstacking system – with fully automatic fanner magnets positioning.

The Front of Line with automatic fanner magnet positioning will feed the blanks into high-speed tandem press lines.
The fully automatic fanner magnets also allow the use of the new patented Universal Tooling with this FOL. The fanner magnets will be used to position the respective suction cups automatically at the required positions on the blanks. Thanks to the optional built-in compressed air nozzles, aluminium blanks can also be processed without loss in performance. The patented Positioning Unit facilitates the centering of up to 4 blanks simultaneously and freely positioned to be picked up by the loading feeder. Thanks to its modular design, this Front of Line can be used in a newly installed turn-key system or for retrofit or completion of an existing press line automation system. An optional connection for automated guided vehicles (AGV) is available.

Suited for automation of conventional mechanical and servo press lines.

Designed for an even greater performance, the second generation of the roboFeeder is suitable for automation of conventional mechanical and servo press lines. Thanks to its simple and robust design, the roboFeeder can convey components from press to press without additional idle stations in between. Single or double parts can be positioned precisely on the die by means of an integrated side shift unit. The roboFeeder can not only be used in new press lines but is also suitable for a retrofit of existing lines.

roboBeam EVO

Suited for automation of mechanical as well as servo press lines.

Specifically designed for high performance and robustness, the latest generation of the roboBeam – the roboBeam EVO – is suitable for automation of mechanical and servo press lines. Thanks to its simple and robust design, the roboBeam EVO can convey components from press to press without additional stations in between. All double parts can be positioned precisely on the die by means of an integrated side shift unit. The roboBeam EVO is available as stand-alone, or as compact version mounted on the press collumns. The roboBeam EVO can be integrated in new press lines but it is also suitable for a retrofit of existing lines. In this case, the predecessor version can also be replaced by this latest generation.

By introducing the second generation single-armed roboSpeed, we make the automation of high-speed press lines even more efficient. Combined with the smart GMotion control system, it helps increasing the production capacity, reduces the setup process, and simplifies the handling process. The roboSpeed is suitable for automation of servo- as well as conventional mechanical tandem presses and is specifically designed for top performance. Thanks to its simple and robust design, the roboSpeed can convey components from press to press with low-vibration trajectories.

End of Line (EOL)

EOL-S

Semi-automatic racking system.

The semi-automatic EOL solution for stacking finished parts offers an excellent cost-benefit ratio. This EOL solution allows for process-optimised and ergonomic placement of the finished parts on the output conveyor which in facilitates processing the finished parts manually or automatically in a faster yet more controlled way. The EOL-S is a parts shuttle gantry solution. The EOLis extremely flexible so that parts can be placed nearly anywhere on the output conveyor. Optionally, a robotic vision surface inspection system is available.
