The Güdel 3-axis gantry FP combines a large working envelope with high payload capacity and precise motion. Its robust rack-and-pinion drive enables reliable and dynamic movement across long travel distances, making the FP ideal for demanding automation tasks and large production areas.
The FP can be configured for a wide range of handling and process applications, including machine loading, palletizing, packaging, assembly, joining, cutting, and testing. Its modular design allows the gantry to be adapted to different working ranges, payloads, and production layouts across a variety of industries.

The 3-axis gantry FP can be used for a wide variety of handling and process applications. The FP-5 shown in the video demonstrates its flexibility across different tasks:

FP-5-HP – High performance for large working areas
The FP-5-HP is the high-performance variant of the FP gantry family, designed for applications requiring large working areas combined with high dynamics. With a Y-axis stroke of up to 14 m, it enables fast and precise handling across large production areas.
The Y-carriage supports loads of up to 1100 kg, while configurations with a Z-axis provide a high-dynamic payload of up to 500 kg. Its modular design supports different grippers and Z-axis configurations for a wide range of handling and process applications.
Flexible gantry system
The Güdel gantry system allows the legs to be positioned flexibly along the gantry beam. This provides greater freedom during system planning, especially when the final dimensions of machines or processes are not yet known.
The modular design also makes it easier to adapt the system when production requirements change. Standardized beam sections with precise joining elements allow a wide range of overall lengths and make future extensions or modifications possible without replacing the entire structure.
