Each time you visit a website that offers one or more Vimeo video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a Vimeo server in the USA. Information about your visit and your IP address is stored there. By interacting with the Vimeo plug-ins (e.g. clicking the start button), this information is also transmitted to Vimeo and stored there.
If you have a Vimeo account and do not want Vimeo to collect information about you through this website and link to your Vimeo membership information, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting this website.

The Vimeo Privacy Policy with more information about Vimeo's collection and use of your data can be found at https://vimeo.com/privacy.

In addition, Vimeo calls up the Tracker Google Analytics via an iFrame in which the video is called up. This is Vimeo's own tracking system to which we have no access. You can stop tracking by Google Analytics by using the opt-out tools that Google offers for some Internet browsers. Users can also prevent Google from collecting data generated by Google Analytics and relating to their use of the website (including their IP address) and from this data being processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

13. Use and application of YouTube

Güdel has integrated components of YouTube on this website. YouTube is an Internet video portal that allows video publishers to post video clips and other users to view, rate and comment on them free of charge. Each time you access one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the data controller and on which a YouTube component (YouTube video) has been integrated, your Internet browser is automatically prompted by the respective YouTube component to download a representation of the corresponding YouTube component from YouTube. You many retrieve further information on  YouTube at the following link www.youtube.com/yt/about/de/.As part of this technical process, YouTube and Google are informed about which specific subpage of our website you are visiting.

14. Legal basis of processing by Güdel

Art. 6 I lit. a GDPR serves our company as a legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, as is the case for example with processing operations necessary for the delivery of goods or the provision of other services or counter-services, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. b GDPR. The same applies to such processing procedures that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of enquiries about our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation requiring the processing of personal data, for example to fulfil tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. c GDPR. In rare cases, the processing of personal data may become necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor were injured at our company and their name, age, health insurance data or other vital information had to be transmitted to a doctor, a hospital or other third parties. The processing would then be based on Art. 6 I lit. d GDPR. Ultimately, processing operations could be based on Art. 6 I lit. f GDPR. Processing operations which are not covered by any of the afore-mentioned legal premises are based on this legality if processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. Such processing procedures are permitted to us in particular because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator, which took the view that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the person concerned is a customer of the data controller (recital 47, second sentence, DS-GMO).

We inform you that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or may also result from contractual regulations (e.g. information on the contractual partner).Sometimes it may be necessary in order to enter into a contract that you provide Güdel with personal data, which must subsequently be processed by us. Failure to provide personal data would mean that the contract could not be entered into.

15. Duration for which the personal data is stored

The criterion for the duration of the storage of personal data is the respective legal storage period. After expiry of this period, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted (as far as technically possible, otherwise blocked for access), provided that they are no longer necessary for contract fulfilment or contract initiation.

16. Existence of automated decision making

As a responsible company, we do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.

17. Right of modification

This data protection declaration can be saved or printed out by you. However, Güdel reserves the right to adapt the data protection statement at any time in compliance with the data protection regulations in order to enable the continuous further development of our website. You can always find the current version of this data protection statement on our website.
