The transfer gripper system is the link between the transfer units and the parts and significantly influences the flow of the entire process. Reliable gripping, quick changeovers and optimal parts monitoring are only a few of the decisive factors in achieving the high efficiency and output of the system. The wide range of GÜDEL products for press automation requires different gripper systems adapted to the relevant application.

For the rails of transfers systems (Fig. #4) mostly passive and active grippers with the corresponding monitoring sensors are used (Fig. #1).

For crossbar transfer systems mostly grippers with vacuum suction are used. For quick and automatic changeovers the transfer units are equipped with special coupling units (Fig. #2).
