Press Automation Products

Over 10 years, hard and software concepts for press automation have been used and are continuously being improved upon.

In our further development processes, priorities are given to a modular structure and an open control architecture, ergonomic human - machine - interfaces (HMI) and to the selection of up-to-date components.

Our technology, your advantage

With the control system (SPS / NC) based on a PC real-time – core (Jitter +- 10 µs) we vigorously pursue open architecture on all levels of communication.

Eternet TCP/IP-OPC high level data exchange
Ethernet Realtime fast data exchange from computer to computer
EtherCAT, Sercos III drive-bus, position control data
Profibus, ASI Bus I/O - bus level

With the utilization of real-time PC architecture, the performance of automation increases steadily and proportionally to the power of commercially available PC – technologies and automatically benefits the users.

The drive system meets the highest dynamic loads; 3G accelerations are quite common. The power output of drives used, varies therefore from 4A to 210A peak current. We only select drive systems that are worldwide available, we only use known and proven high-end products.

Databases, recipes and tools are implemented on the same hardware platform thanks to PC-based technology, as well as SPS functionality and motions. This philosophy makes it possible to quickly and efficiently step in via Teleservice. The option of remote maintenance is a standard function in all our press automation systems.

Control System Architecture

The right product for every application– single control unit architecture. For all GÜDEL systems such as:

The control philosophy and the architecture remained the same. Straightforward routes of communication are created making interfaces to press manufacturers around the world only secondarily important.
