roboFlex: 5-Axes Robot Arm on a Linear Travelling Axis

The roboFlex manufactured by GÜDEL is an innovative robot concept. It consists of a 5-axes robot arm which is fitted in a suspended position on a linear travelling axis. Thanks to the roboFlex it is nowadays possible to position workpiece grippers and operating heads in any axes direction and angle required. The small mass guarantees very high dynamics and maximum rigidity and accuracy.

The modern robot control systems allow optimum movements to be carried out. With simplified on-screen operator guidance the part-process is quickly achieved.

Concept

• 6 axes of motion

• Minimum time necessary for mounting, fitting and putting into operations, as precise alignment on machines, processing stations and feeding units is not required

• Simplified programming and operator-guidance
• «On the fly» tracking for conveyor applications
