 Turkingtons Europe, a major worldwide supplier of Bakery Automation, needed to provide an automated Tin Store to one of the UK’s major Bakeries. The Tin Store needed to fit into an existing Bakery that had floor space restrictions and height restrictions due to a low roof in the building. We had to achieve a high throughput and maximum storage space. The Tin Store needed to handle 3 different variants of Tins and operate 24/7 for 6.5 days per week. KP Foods Plant at Stockton-on-Tees is a manufacturer of Potato Crisp snack foods. The end of line process involved a manual Palletising process of the boxes of Crisps. This needed a high number of personnel over 3 shifts operating 24/7.
