TaskTo design a cleaning system for containers and pallets, whose washing capacity can be increased to 4 times its previous volume. SolutionPallets containing dirty containers of the same size and type are handed over to the system. A depalleting robot removes the containers layer by layer and places them on the conveyer system. After separation, the containers are transported via two lines to the washing machine whose washing capacity is 4000 containers/h. In a parallel process, the empty plastic pallets are also conveyed to the washing machine for cleaning. Euro pallets made of wood are transported to a separate pallet inspection and cleaning machine. The wood pallets are recorded according to an A, B or C category. After the containers and pallets have been cleaned, a further robot pallets the clean containers ready to be used in the production process, which are then transported to an automated storage facility. ResultThe requirement for a cleaning capacity 4 times the original capacity was achieved. For the first time ever, such a project included a system for cleaning and inspecting wood pallets. The system meets the most recent regulations pertaining to hygiene. Manual steps are no longer necessary. |
