Part loading on Mazak Lathes

Task

The main task was to run the Mazak lathe cell for one hour without supervision (operator). This allows machines to continue druing work interruptions
Machine cycle time 17 sec.
Part weight 1 kg max.

Solution

We offered ZP-3 gantry with H carriage with input palletizer for 240 parts (this will take care of the cell for more than 1 hr. loading without attendent), and output belt conveyor with accumulation tray for finished parts.

Y axis 125 mtr./min.,
Z axis 90 mtr./min.

• ZP-3 with H carriage
     Y stroke 6500mm 

     Z stroke 900mm
• MLB-3 for palletizer for 240 parts
• Output belt conveyor with tray
• Control System for 4 axes

Result

The portal has been operating at full production for over 6 months. The customer receives a finished part every 21 seconds. The customer is satisfied and intends to place another order in 2006.
