TaskTo place the plastic containers filled with packaged portions of cheese into an automated container storage facility. From this container storage facility the product is manually commissioned by ergonomic means and conveyed to the shipping department. SolutionThe individual containers are taken from the production lines and stacked. Fully automated shelving devices place the 2 x 10 stacks of containers in the container storage area, which has a capacity of 50,000. A total of 140 products can be stored for commissioning. The commissioning is carried out on a first-in /first-out and a pick-to-light system. The actual storage system comprises a newly developed accumulating roller conveyer. The advantage is its quiet operation and gentle handling of the containers.
The control system is based on a Simatic S7-414 and a PCO master computer system which allows access to the operations of the entire installed system at any time. Scope of supply- 1 shelving system with an accumulating roller conveyer for 50,000 containers
