Cold/hot forming press

Task

The robot arm loads the press with sometimes hot rawlings.
After the pressing procedure, the formed parts are removed from the press and palletized.

Solution

By using GÜDEL linear guideway systems, very short cycle times can be achieved despite strong external influences such as dirt and heat. Thanks to our wide product palette for medium and heavy loads, we can offer a solution for the swivel mounted arm and an additional moving unit as track motion. Complementary to the linear guideway system, our product portfolio also offers drive elements such as rack and pinion gears and gearboxes.

Result

Due to the imperviousness to dirt, cost intensive covers are not required for the guideway and drive systems. Despite high loads and strong external influences, we were able to achieve long service life and low maintenance cost.
